HQ and characters

Great attention was paid to the painting and customization of the characters.

From the iconic metal sculptures of the '90s to the adaptation of various bits to create custom models or represent roles that didn't have a specific miniature at the time.

Named characters

In 1996, Games Workshop added special character miniatures for the Dark Angels Space Marines to its catalog. Sculpted by lead designer Jes Goodwin, these exceptional miniatures remain arguably unsurpassed even 30 years later.

Azrael

The Supreme Grand Master of the Chapter accompanied by one of the mysterious watchers in the dark

Ezekiel chief librarian of the Dark Angels, keeper of the book of salvation. This vintage, metal miniature, character is very detailed and finely painted at professional display-level by the artist Hawk Talon.

HQs

With character models, a model maker can express all his creativity. Since you don't have to maintain the uniformity of a team, you can try more complex pictorial schemes and enrich the models with details. The miniatures of the HQs and Space Marine specialists were already excellent but it was a pleasure to customize them or assemble unique ones when a specific model was still missing.

Vintage Dark Angels Terminator Librarian, like in 1990 Citadel catalogue. This Full-metal miniature is hand-painted at high level by the artist Hawk Talon. Rogue trader version and OOP. This Oldhammer model is armed with a marked Deathwing storm bolter and a force psy axe.

Specialist Characters

A Space Marine Chapter cannot remain effective over time without the constant work of its technical and medical specialists. Among the first miniatures to sport specific liveries and equipment, Techmarines and Apothecaries remain some of the most striking models in any army of angel of death.
