Dark Angels army classic 1998-2012

Heavy tanks
I'm addicted to tanks. Since I was a child I have drawn them, turned any construction briks kit into a tank, and then assembled and painted historic tanks for more than 15 years. I started the Dark Angels collection at a time of transition when new designs were added to the kits with 80s aesthetics including the exceptional Land Raider with detailed interiors. The older Rhino hull-based tanks and the first version of the Redeemer have metal conversion kits that make them pleasantly solid and heavy.

Land Raider
A beast. Big, armored, aggressive and even carries terminators! I had to have it. The first one I built and painted received extra attention to the interior and in wheatering. I added metal hinges to the side doors to keep them inspectable.

Land Raider Crusader
A second Land Raider? Why not?!
The Crusader was initially issued whit a metal conversion kit. I modified the cover of the twin assault cannon and added some freehand.

Whirlwind
I loved it on the Space Marine reference card (the first edition of Epic). Simple but fascinating 1995 nostalgia.

Vindicator
Heavy! A looot of metal for this 2000 kit. Basically a smoothing iron with a force 10 cannon.

Predator
1997 version. In the GW catalogue it was painted as a Dark Angels' tank. What else?
Armoured transports

Rhino
Universal Armoured Personnel Carrier.
The restyle of a classic. Easily convertible with the top plates of the Razorbak and/or the heavy bolter turrets of the Land Raider.

Razorback
Better with guns.
