Sammael on jetbike

The Master of Ravenwing on his jetbike "Corvex", an ancient relic dating back to the Dark Age of Technology.
This miniature is the first version presented, produced in metal at the end of 2006.

When I painted it and posted it on coolminiornot.com (May 2007) the welcome was very affectionate. Perhaps it was the first Sammael model to go on the internet with an alternative color scheme to the official GW one. If so, I am grateful that many painters later decided to replicate the scheme for subsequent excellent achievements.

In November 2007 I presented my Sammael at the "Grog" painting competition, within the Lucca Comics & Games event, earning the special prize "Grog of the day" and second place in the "miniature on horseback" category.

Sammael on Corvex - gallery

Finely painted metal version (2006) of Sammael on Corvex (jetbike) - 2nd company of Dark Angels space marines chapter - with a scenic urban battlefield base. The colours of the robes and metal details like the eagle on the front were a novelty in 2007 when posted by Hawk Talon (the author) on coolminiornot.com. It is a vintage model out of production and winner at Grog painting contest.

Sammael 2007 WiP

Looking for elements for the site I found these original, albeit partial, images from 2007 of the painting stages of my Sammael on jetbike and its display base, so I decided to share them.
